How Does SQT Bio-Needling Work?
SQT Bio-Needling uses an extraction from the sea sponge, siliceous organic matter called Spongilla Spicules. These tiny particles are all natural. They are gently rubbed into the skin to create microchannels on the surface. These microchannels trigger the body to create collagen, elastin and new skin cells.
SQT is grounded in science. What to Expect During and After Treatment
An SQT Bio-Needling session typically lasts for 60 minutes. At Shine we thoroughly cleanse and steam the face before performing extractions. After the preparation, you receive a massage of the essence, this includes ingredients such as peptides, Vitamin B3, Tranexamic Acid, Beta-Glucan and zinc to name a few, this is then followed by massaging in the bio-needling fibers. During this process it may feel a little scratchy or there may be a mild tingling sensation but there is no pain. After treatment we apply a hydrating sheet mask.
After the treatment there will likely be some redness and itchiness, particularly when touched for a day or two; and the skin should just be cleansed with water for the first two days. On day three there may be some peeling of the skin, which is great as this means the skin is rejuvenating itself. From days three to five a gentle cleanser and moisturiser is recommended and serums etc can resume after the first week.
You can expect to see your skin glowing more within a few days after treatment and results continue to show themselves in the following days and weeks. It can be done as a once off, but for the best results, consider booking a series of treatments such as a course of three to maximise results.
