The Dam, Raintree Estate, Denmark

A restaurant with presence. As you drive into Raintree Estate, The Dam rises before you, an angular, architecturally striking venue made from rammed earth and glass, set among peppermint trees and open fields. The menu champions local produce, with a nose-to-tail philosophy and native botanicals woven through each dish.

Try the Shark Bay Seared Scallops or smoked beef brisket paired with a native herb salad. The seasonal menu is designed to be enjoyed alongside seltzers & cocktails made from the house distilled hemp spirits. Sit on the deck as the sun sets over the dam and watch kangaroos hop across the paddocks. It’s theatre on a plate and beyond.

Olio Bello, Cowaramup

More than just a glamping destination, Olio Bello is a celebration of slow food and seasonal simplicity. Their cafe overlooks olive groves and a shimmering lake, and serves up a rustic Mediterranean-style menu built around what is growing just outside the kitchen door.

Think woodfired pizza with farm-fresh veggies, hand-rolled pasta, vibrant salads laced with their signature olive oils, and decadent desserts that taste like they’re been baked with love. The tasting board is a must, a selection of olives, tapenades, dukkah, oils and warm bread that showcases the passion of the place. It’s wholesome, hearty, and heart-filled.

Tillers Cafe & Pantry, Karridale

Halfway between Margaret River and Augusta lies Tillers, a humble cafe with a big heart. Owned by regenerative farmers, the menu is seasonal, local and grown with intention. It’s the kind of place where the eggs come from hens that peck the field out back, and the vegetables were picked that morning.

Expect vibrant breakfast bowls, freshly baked sourdough, turmeric lattes and house-made preserves that taste like your grandmother used to make, if your grandmother was a chef obsessed with soil health. You can also stock up at their pantry for your road trip with everything from farm eggs and ferments to herbal teas and wildflower honey.
