Fiji is a tropical paradise year-round, with average temperatures of 25 to 30°C (77 to 86°F) in any given month. The weather is hottest in January while cooler east winds arrive in July and August.

It's a place where nature is being protected on an extraordinary scale. It takes about three hours to bike around the island,  taking in the mangroves, beaches, and 'Bird Island' in a sheltered channel. The interior feels like a Jurassic Park: thick forest, wild orchids. No tree is allowed to be felled without the permission of the owner. There are creatures everywhere: ruby-red land crabs, butterflies, frogs and fruit bats, and some of the best diving in the world.

Our menus aren’t just bursting with flavour; they're centred around health, wellbeing and sustainability. The island's home-grown produce goes into all our restaurant and bar menus. Every stay includes all dining and beverages (aside from special vintages). COMO Shambhala Cuisine is a calibrated mix of raw and cooked ingredients with specific nutritional purposes and flavours. The resulting dishes help to boost concentration and energy, balance blood-sugar levels and satisfy cravings. It is available on all resort menus, except Seagrass.

Our island COMO Shambhala Retreat is a celebration of the many fresh, nourishing resources that can be found in Fiji. Treatments make use of the island’s herbs, stones, flowers, fruits and soils, with the spa located on a forested hilltop location among the birds.
