world famous springs - immerse yourself in new zealand’s original geothermal hot pools experience
Nestled on the shores of Lake Rotorua lies Polynesian Spa – a geothermal bathing and soul-soothing retreat, where you can experience wellness sourced from Rotorua’s very own backyard.
Renowned for its healing waters and decadent spa therapies discover why people have flocked to these waters since the 1800s.
Waters from two natural springs are fed into the 28 mineral pools at Polynesian Spa. The slightly acidic Priest Spring relieves tired muscles, aches, and pains while the alkaline waters of the Rachel Spring nourish the skin. Wellness rituals include absolute lakeside hydrotherapy pools, heated recliners, and a reflexology walk for the ultimate in relaxation.
Polynesian Spa is recognised as one of the top 10 spas in the world.
the spa retreat for wellness
Specialising in a range of therapies, the Retreat at Polynesian Spa offers a sumptuous menu. From Aix (water) spa therapies to signature geothermal Mud Wrap and Aromatherapywraps, Swedish massage, Mud massage, Facials, and Deluxe Romantic Spa Packages – it is the perfect place to relax and reset. A pre-therapy soak in the Deluxe Lake Spa pools is always included in Spa Retreat Bookings, combining the benefits of hydrotherapy and spa treatments.
All Spa Retreat Wellness Therapies include a soak in the Deluxe Lake Spa hot pools beforehand to warm up the muscles, soften your skin and relax your mind. To make the most of your indulgent retreat experience, we recommend you allow at least three hours at Polynesian Spa to enjoy a hot mineral water soak, your spa treatment and our therapy relaxation lounge after.
We cater for group bookings for hot pools and spa therapies, mindfulness and meditation workshops, yoga and pilates, with optional platters or full lunches and wellness room bookings available. This is perfect for corporate getaways or partner programmes for conferences.
